Halloween Wedding Anyone?
Halloween is literally upon us but if you are still looking for a little seasonal inspiration for a few last minute touches…read on.
From ghoulish to classy, there is lots of inspiration for your table centrepieces to be gained from the mere pumpkin. Have some fun and carve them out or keep it elegant with pretty pumpkin focused arrangements. After all, centrepieces involving fruit, veg and flowers is….as they say….very à la mode. There are plenty of ideas on Pinterest up for grabs.
Instead of the more typical warm cider or hot chocolate, why not welcome your guests this chilly season with a spiced pumpkin latte or a luxury pumpkin spice hot chocolate. Alternatively get creative with pumpkin liquor, RumChata cinnamon cream liqueur or Baileys pumpkin spice. Pumpkin pie martinis will never fail to add a little festive spirit to your wedding celebrations.
The Devil is in the Details
Bring Halloween home with pumpkin shaped drinks glasses, drink dispensers, lanterns, hanging lights, place card holders, aisle decorations, pumpkin inspired favours, a pumpkin soup starter or a similarly themed wedding cake. Be careful however, not to overkill your idea. You don’t want to ‘pumpkin out’ your guests, so choose your themed decorative details carefully and intersperse them autumnal coloured florals.
Keeping the Kids Happy
From child minders to games, we have seen it all when it comes to entertaining kids at weddings. Why not simply go with the season and have a kids pumpkin carving session – just don’t forget to provide full sleeve apron, more for the full approval of the parents, rather than the kids.
Trick or Treat
Dare to bewitch your guests with a Halloween styled dessert table. Bring back some ole fashioned sweets and style your cupcakes with chic black lace detailing and cobweb inspired spun sugar nests. If this doesn’t take your fancy, there are plenty of other batty ideas out there with which to your own creative juices flowing – just don’t be afraid to let your wicked imagination run away with you. Halloween themes however, can quickly cross the line from classy to tacky so proceed with caution!
